Turning a complex brownfield site into a measurable development strategy.
The feasibility study tested residential redevelopment of the former Harborne Police Station site on Rose Road. The work combined existing-site analysis, capacity testing, housing mix, accommodation scheduling, layouts, visualisation and parking/cycle strategy into a clear basis for client decision-making.
The site strategy responded to restricted access, adjacent residential amenity, existing drainage, trees, retained buildings, hardstanding and potential contamination.
Design response
Four character areas, one coherent site strategy.
The proposal was organised around a gateway zone, terrace row, courtyard cluster and residential enclave. These areas create a legible development structure while allowing different housing typologies and relationships to the retained site fabric.
